UPAYA PEMADAM KEBAKARAN DALAM PENCEGAHAN KEBAKARAN DI PELABUHAN ULEE LHEUE KOTA BANDA ACEH

Abstrak

The port is an important sector that requires high security to reduce the risk of threatening security, such as fire disasters. This study aims to determine the role and constraints of the Banda Aceh City Fire Department in Fire Prevention at Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh City. The study used a qualitative method. Data collection used observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used the inductive method. The results of the study showed that the role of the Fire Department in Fire Prevention at Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh City, was carried out by collaborating with the UPTD of Ulee Lheue Port such as conducting fire extinguishing training and training in the use of fire extinguishing equipment for workers at Ulee Lheue Port. The constraints of the Fire Department in Fire Prevention at Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh City, are that port officers do not have adequate skills in handling fire disasters. The lack of maintenance of fire disaster management equipment at Ulee Lheue Port because it is not a priority for daily equipment maintenance. Suggestions from the research results, for the Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP) of Banda Aceh City, it is hoped that it can further improve cooperation with various agencies in the context of dealing with fire disasters in office buildings, such as at ports that require full supervision.
