About the Journal
Sodju is a scientific journal aimed at providing a platform for research, studies, and discussions on social development and community empowerment issues. This journal encompasses various multidisciplinary perspectives in examining the development process, focusing on improving people's quality of life with special attention to social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects. It is published by the Social Development Study Program, Iskandar Muda University every 6 (six) months (biannually) in April and October.
The Sodju journal aims to promote positive change in society by providing space for innovative ideas and best practices in inclusive and equitable social development. We hope that the research produced can make a tangible contribution to building a more just, prosperous, and self-sufficient society.

Social Development Journal (SODJU) is an electronic scientific journal published print out and online once six a month (April and October). Social Development Journal (SODJU) aims to promote positive change in society by providing space for innovative ideas and best practices in inclusive and equitable social development. We hope that the research produced can make a tangible contribution to building a more just, prosperous, and self-sufficient society. As a journal that prioritizes community involvement in development, Sodju invites contributions from academics, practitioners, and relevant stakeholders in identifying challenges, opportunities, and solutions in community empowerment efforts. The topics covered include community-based economic empowerment, education for empowerment, public participation in policymaking, sustainable development, and strengthening local capacity, to the following topics: Community Empowerment, Social Policy, Social Development, Local Government, Good Governance and Social Value.
