PERAN TENAGA KESEJAHTERAAN SOSIAL KECAMATAN (TKSK) DALAM PENANGANAN PENYANDANG MASALAH KESEJAHTERAAN SOSIAL (PMKS) DI KECAMATAN PEUKAN BADA

In the era of globalization, social problems in Indonesia are increasing, both in terms of number and complexity. These problems include poverty, neglect, disability, natural and social disasters, victims of violence, drug abuse, and child protection. Individuals or groups experiencing these social problems are categorized as Social Welfare Problem Sufferers (PMKS), who require intervention to achieve social welfare. The government has formed Sub-district Social Welfare Workers (TKSK) as an effort to help handle these problems. This study focuses on the role of TKSK in Peukan Bada Sub-district, Aceh Besar Regency, in distributing assistance to PMKS. The survey results show that limited resources and lack of synergy with the government hinder the effectiveness of the TKSK's role. In addition, the wide scope of work with a limited number of workers is a challenge in carrying out their duties. However, community support, the availability of data in each village, and government attention through the provision of facilities are supporting factors for the success of TKSK. This study emphasizes the importance of increasing the number of social workers, strengthening coordination with the government, and optimizing social welfare programs to increase the effectiveness of the TKSK's role in handling PMKS in Peukan Bada Sub-district
