PENGARUH DOSIS PUPUK FOSFAT DAN JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS

Abstract

This study aimed to determine phosphate fertilizer dose and planting distance for the
growth and yield sweet corn then interaction between the two factors. The research was did from
February to May 2020 in Balai Benih Hortikultura Saree, Kecamatan Lembah Seulawah, Kabupaten
Aceh Besar. There were used a Group Randomized Design (RBD) with 4 x 3 factorial and 3
replications. The first factor was of phosphate fertilizer dose (i.e. 0, 50, 100, 150 kg / ha) and the
second factor were planting distance (i.e. 70 cm x 30 cm, 70 cm x 40 cm, and 70 cm x 50 cm). The
results showed that the phosphate fertilizer dose significant effect on weight of cobs without ear
maize, but not significant effect on height of plant, number of leaves age 15, 30, and 45 day after
planting, diameter and length of cobs. The best growth and yields of sweet corn were found in the
phosphate fertilizer dose i.e. 100 kg / ha. Planting distance had a really significant effect on
diameter of cobs,, but there were not significant effect on height of plant, number of leaves age 15,
30, and 45 day after planting, length of cobs, and weight of cobs without ear maize. This research
had not interaction between phosphate fertilizer dose and planting distance on the growth and yield
of sweet corn.
