Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of the Kuta Tuha Village government in improving the community's economy, in which the researcher focused the study in Kuta Tuha Village, Panga District, Aceh Jaya Regency. And to determine the obstacles in the village government's strategy in improving the community's economy. The approach in this study is qualitative research. The informants for this study were Keuchik, Tuha Peut, Tuha Lapan and several other members of the village apparatus who were considered important and could help in collecting data in writing this work. The results of the study showed that the strategy of the Kuta Tuha Village Government in improving the community's economy was considered not optimal because the community still did not have the resources themselves for village development, coupled with limited facilities that were inadequate. Thus, various parties are needed to support the local community's economy, both at the village, sub-district, and district levels, which are expected to be able to open up new jobs to reduce unemployment and improve people's welfare.
