Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) is a vegetable plant that is commonly grown in temperate and tropical
regions. World lettuce production reaches about 3 million tonnes, which are planted on an area of
more than 300,000 hectares of land. Lettuce, the only type of Lactuca that is domesticated. This
plant breeding activity is to obtain plants that are not thorny, slow flowering, have large seeds and
do not spread, are not gummy, and are not bitter. The data interview method used was interviews
conducted with different implementing parties, staff and workers or farmers who were directly
involved in the process of planting lettuce techniques, field observations by directly observing the
actual condition of BALITSA's land and following direct cultivation practices. from beginning to
end starting land preparation, seed preparation, harvesting and marketing analysis. From the results
of the analysis, the average price per kg is Rp. 1,000,. The results of the analysis above show that
the R / C ratio is 1.4, which seems that from 1 rupiah spent will earn 1.4 rupiahs. Break event point
(BEP) or break-even point is Rp. 710.00 / kg and a B / C ratio of 0.4. Based on the results of the
