PROGRAM KETAHANAN PANGAN GAMPONG LAMBUNG KECAMATAN MEURAXA KOTA BANDA ACEH TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT

Abstract

Food problems are problems faced by every country in the world, because they are related to the fulfillment of the needs of its people. Food security is the availability of food to meet the needs of every person, both in quantity and quality for each individual to live a healthy, active and productive life. The Aceh government in collaboration with villages through the food security program seeks to increase food production, distribution, and consumption of healthy and nutritious food. The Lambung village food security program is located in the Lambung village PKK park. The research method in this study uses a qualitative research method to obtain detailed information about the Lambung village food security program on community welfare. Data were obtained through observation, interviews with the head and members of the Lambung village food security program, the Lambung village community, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the Lambung village food security program has improved the welfare of the Lambung village community in terms of economy by meeting affordable food needs for the community and absorbing workers from the Lambung village community. The conclusion of this study is that the Lambung village food security program prioritizes food security in its process, so that the community can meet their nutritional needs without having to worry about the safety of the food produced by the program. In addition, the Lambung village food security program also guarantees the quality of the food provided, because the food produced uses organic fertilizers that contain substances needed by plants that are not found in chemical fertilizers.
