DAMPAK PROGRAM KELUARGA HARAPAN (PKH) DALAM MEMBANTU MASYARAKAT MISKIN DI GAMPONG LAMPASI ENGKING KECAMATAN DARUL IMARAH KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract

Poverty requires special attention because it impacts the quality of human resources. Government efforts to alleviate poverty are implemented through various social assistance programs. The Family Hope Program is expected to transform participants' behavior in accessing health and education services, resulting in a healthier and more intelligent generation. In the long term, the Family Hope Program is expected to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty. The Family Hope Program aims to develop a social protection system for poor families and communities, but in Lampasi Engking Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency, it has not been running well. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Family Hope Program in helping poor communities in Lampasi Engking Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. Family Hope Program is a conditional social assistance program from the government aimed at improving the welfare of the poor, especially in aspects of education, health, and social welfare. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the Family Hope Program has made a positive contribution to improving the living standards of beneficiary families, particularly in supporting the continuity of children's education and access to healthcare. However, several obstacles were also identified, such as limited access to financial services that have not been optimally implemented, resulting in continued dependence on assistance. Despite this, PKH has had a significant impact in helping reduce the economic burden on poor communities in Lampasi Engking Village.
