Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of micro, small and medium enterprises in absorbing labor in the laundry business in Gampong Garot, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. To determine the obstacles of micro, small and medium enterprises in absorbing labor in the laundry business in Gampong Garot, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. The approach in this study is qualitative research. The informants of this study were 1 Keuchik, 1 Business Owner, 2 Workers, 2 Customers. The results of the study obtained that the role of small and medium enterprises in absorbing labor in the laundry business in Gampong Garot, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency, it is known that the laundry business is able to absorb labor. In addition, employees who are already independent, try to open their own businesses with partnership capital with several friends who are equally experienced in the laundry business. Thus, new entrepreneurs grow, who are expected to be able to open new jobs to reduce unemployment. The obstacles of small and medium enterprises in absorbing labor in the laundry business in Gampong Garot, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency, it is known that the laundry business experiences obstacles in the procurement of supporting equipment for the business, such as washing machines and irons and other equipment, while to borrow capital from banks, laundry business actors are more selective in doing so. because the loans required are very large, while the competitiveness of similar businesses is increasing..
