Abstract

The research entitled “Efforts to Improve Students' Mathematics Learning Activities and Outcomes Through Cooperative Learning Model Type TPS (Think-Pair-Share) in Circle Material in Class VIII6 MTsN Tungkob Aceh Besar, This research raises the problem of how students' learning activities in mathematics are in class VIII6 and how students' mathematics learning outcomes in class VIII6 are taught through the TPS (Think-Pair-Share) type of cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the activities of students in class VIII6 which are taught through the TPS (Think-Pair-Share) type of cooperative learning model. This research was conducted in class VIII6 MTsN Tungkob Aceh Besar. The data was collected by technical essay test and data processing used the Chi-square test. Furthermore, the research hypothesis was tested using the t-test, from the results of the hypothesis submission obtained tcount = 2.64 and ttable = 2.04. So that it can be concluded that efforts to increase the activity and learning outcomes of students' mathematics taught by the TPS type cooperative learning model (Think-Pair-Share) are better than the mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using conventional learning models on circle material in class VIII6 MTsN Tungkob Aceh Besar
