This research is a research based on the background of the problem on How the Role of Information Management and Documentation Officials (PPID) in the Management of Public Information Services, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for Information Management and Documentation Officers in carrying out public information services at the UPTD Seuramoe Information Service Aceh Communication, Information and Telematics. With the aim of writing, namely to describe and analyze the role of Information Management and Documentation Officers in the management of Public Information services, besides that, it is also to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by Information Management and Documentation Officers in carrying out information services. This study uses a qualitative approach, with the consideration that this research is easier when dealing with multiple realities. This method presents directly the nature and relationship between the researcher and the respondent. To obtain data sources, researchers grouped into 2 (two) namely primary data and secondary data. As for the results of the study, that the role of the Information Management and Documentation Officer as the implementer of the law on public information disclosure is very important and becomes the obligation of public agencies to form it, in order to realize information services within the Aceh Government. Information services at the Main PPID Seuramoe Information have been supported by qualified human resources and adequate facilities and infrastructure including developing an online service system that is integrated into all SKPAs, but so far information services at the PPID Assistant are still weak, as result information services are not optimal. In conclusion, the role of the Main Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID), as one of the implementing elements of the law on public information disclosure, has been carried out well. However, for PPID Assistants, there are still obstacles, such as the lack of understanding and commitment of the Apparatus, the frequent occurrence of sudden mutations, and budget constraints, thus making information services less than optimal.
